Introduction

Origin of the idea for this Web Quest is in the oral, artistic and cultural traditions of Native American people, particularly my tribe the Lakota. Contrary to popular assumption the ancient, traditional knowledg of our people has not been lost, and has even recently become publicly available. This Web Quest integrates that information.

On the most basic level this Web Quest is about the inter-relationship of Native American cultural traditions. It integrates our physical world with our environment. At its' greatest depth this Web Quest is about the survival of cultural traditions. The persistence of ancestral knowledge, codified and passed, generation to generation till now, when it's to be opened and shown.
