Offline Study - STUDENT STUDY DISKS
In order for your students to use the Tipila Web Quest Offline program, you will need to prepare Student Study Disks for them. This can be done by simply copying the "Student" folder and the "images" folder inside it, to a blank 3.5 floppy disk.
Be sure to click through them to insure that they have copied correctly. You are free to make as many of these as you need for your students.
Be sure to provide the "Getting Started on Your Web Quest" student handout.
With the Student Study Disks, your students can surf all the same Tipila Web Quest files which are online at our Web Site!
Students can access all the pages of the Tipila Web Quest, as well as the Lakota Information page.
When Beginner Teams click on the Lakota Information page link in the Menu Box, they are taken to a page on the disk, with all the content of the Web Site page it replicates, yet is stripped of it's hypertext or graphic links. This leaves those students to focus on the content and limits their ability to "surf off".
Whereas, when Experienced or Advanced student Teams click on their Lakota Information Link, they are also taken to a page on the disk. However, their page still has all of it's active hypertext links connecting them to the World Wide Web.
Refer to the Students Branch listing to see which pages are available offline.
